Role Overview: Senior Data Engineer (AWS Ecosystem)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Malvern, PA. This is a long-term project opportunity designed for a professional who excels in designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipelines within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in data engineering and a proven track record of delivering robust data solutions in a cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Pipeline Architecture: Design and implement complex, scalable ETL data pipelines that facilitate the movement and transformation of data from diverse source systems into centralized data lakes and warehouses.
- AWS Service Integration: Leverage the full power of AWS services, specifically focusing on AWS Glue for ETL orchestration, AWS Lambda for serverless compute tasks, and Amazon S3 for durable object storage.
- Data Warehousing: Manage and optimize data loading processes into Amazon Redshift, ensuring that data is structured efficiently for high-performance analytics and business intelligence reporting.
- DevOps & Automation: Utilize modern DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub, Bitbucket, and Bamboo, to manage code repositories and automate the deployment of data solutions into production environments.
- Scripting and Querying: Write advanced SQL queries for data manipulation and use Python as the primary scripting language for data processing and automation tasks.
- Data Quality & Governance: Ensure the integrity and security of data throughout the pipeline, implementing monitoring and alerting to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, and Redshift is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
Work Environment and Interview Process
This position is strictly onsite in Malvern, Pennsylvania. We are specifically looking for local candidates or those within a short commuting distance. The selection process involves a mandatory Face-to-Face (F2F) in-person interview. Candidates must be prepared to demonstrate their technical expertise through live coding or architectural discussions during the onsite visit. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact projects that directly influence the data strategy of a leading organization.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
