Role Overview: AI/ML Architect
We are seeking a visionary AI/ML Architect with specialized expertise in the Databricks ecosystem to join our advanced analytics division in Los Angeles, CA. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between complex business challenges and cutting-edge machine learning solutions. As organizations in 2026 increasingly rely on real-time data intelligence, your role will be pivotal in building scalable, production-grade data pipelines and sophisticated ML models that drive significant business value. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and data science, leveraging Databricks on Azure and AWS to deliver high-performance analytical platforms.
Core Responsibilities
- Model Development & Optimization: Design, train, and fine-tune machine learning and statistical models using Python, PySpark, and MLflow within the Databricks environment.
- End-to-End MLOps: Lead the deployment of ML models into production environments, utilizing Delta Live Tables and automated MLOps pipelines to ensure model reliability and scalability.
- Advanced Data Engineering: Architect and build high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark SQL and Databricks Workflows, ensuring data integrity through Delta Lake.
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Conduct deep-dive analysis on massive datasets to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Strategic Business Collaboration: Translate abstract business problems into concrete analytical frameworks and present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Platform Optimization: Manage and optimize Databricks cluster configurations to balance performance requirements with cost-efficiency.
- Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, including generative AI integration and advanced anomaly detection, to maintain a competitive edge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Databricks Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of PySpark, Spark SQL, Databricks Notebooks, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
- Programming Proficiency: Expert-level Python skills, specifically with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn.
- Machine Learning Foundations: Solid understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Experience working within Azure Databricks or AWS Databricks environments, including knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps principles.
Preferred Competencies
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps for automated deployment.
- Strong background in A/B testing, forecasting, and recommendation systems.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $190,000 – $260,000 per year (Estimated)
