Opportunity: .NET Developer for Leading Airline
Whiztekcorp is proud to partner with a major global airline to find a talented .NET Developer for their Houston-based digital transformation team. This is a hybrid role that offers the perfect balance of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, requiring two days per week at the client’s state-of-the-art facility in Houston, Texas. In the rapidly evolving travel industry of 2026, our client is focused on building mission-critical systems that enhance passenger experience, optimize flight operations, and leverage cloud-native architectures to maintain a competitive edge. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives on solving complex problems and building scalable, high-performance applications.
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable backend services using .NET Core and C#, adhering to modern architectural patterns.
- Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that power customer-facing web and mobile applications.
- Implement and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Utilize advanced monitoring and observability tools, including Datadog, Dynatrace, and Sunstone, to maintain system health and performance.
- Perform deep-dive root cause analysis for production issues and implement long-term fixes to improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards and documentation.
The Airline Industry Context
Working in the airline sector requires a unique focus on high availability and real-time data processing. You will be involved in projects that handle massive volumes of transactions, from booking engines to real-time flight tracking and crew management systems. The complexity of these systems demands a developer who understands the importance of security, logging, and performance tuning in a cloud environment. Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues like Kafka or Amazon SNS/SQS is highly preferred, as these technologies are central to the airline’s modern data ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to work on systems that directly impact millions of travelers every day, making this a highly rewarding role for those who value visible, impactful work.
Professional Growth and Environment
At Whiztekcorp, we believe in fostering an environment of continuous learning. As part of this team, you will be encouraged to explore new AWS services and DevOps practices. The hybrid work model in Houston allows you to build strong relationships with your peers during in-office days while enjoying the focus and autonomy of remote work. We are looking for a proactive communicator who can articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and who is passionate about staying at the forefront of the .NET ecosystem. If you are ready to take your career to new heights in the aviation industry, we want to hear from you.
Special Requirements
