Position Summary
GVR Infotek LLC is looking for a RegOps Java Lead Developer to join our team at the MetroPark office in Iselin, NJ. This is a hybrid role that combines the flexibility of remote work with essential in-office collaboration. As a Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering new regulatory reporting and operational capabilities for high-profile financial services clients. You will leverage modern technologies and data architectures to build services that meet stringent compliance and risk requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers in the design and delivery of server-side Java applications.
- Develop and maintain regulatory reporting systems using Java, XML, and the Spring Framework.
- Implement complex integration patterns using Apache Camel and message queues like Kafka and IBM MQ.
- Manage data persistence and optimization using SQL Server or Sybase RDBMS.
- Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices using Jenkins, Git, and SonarQube.
- Interact directly with operations, compliance, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
- Provide technical mentorship and ensure the successful delivery of project milestones.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of core Java server-side development experience.
- Deep knowledge of XML, Spring, and Apache Camel frameworks.
- Extensive experience with messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ).
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
- Proven track record of leading small-to-medium sized technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
Preferred Experience
- Domain expertise in financial products such as derivatives (IRD, FX, CRD).
- Experience with collateral management processes and regulatory reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Special Requirements
LinkedIn profile required; Hybrid work schedule; Financial domain experience (derivatives) preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
