Opportunity: Senior Power BI Developer (Onsite – Dallas, TX)
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Power BI Developer to join our team in Dallas, TX. This is an onsite role designed for a technical leader who can transform raw data into sophisticated, actionable insights. As a pivotal member of our analytics department, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade dashboards that drive strategic decision-making across the entire organization. This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-friendly BI solutions.
Core Responsibilities
- Design & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end architectural design of complex Power BI dashboards and data models, utilizing star and snowflake schemas to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Advanced Development: Author complex Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M code (Power Query) to build advanced calculated measures and optimize data transformation workflows.
- Data Integration: Seamlessly integrate data from diverse sources, including cloud-based platforms like Snowflake and various on-premise data warehouses.
- Performance Tuning: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in reports, optimizing SQL queries and data models for rapid rendering and user responsiveness.
- Governance & Security: Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace structures, and data privacy standards to align with corporate governance policies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical liaison between IT and business stakeholders, refining requirements into technical specifications that meet business needs.
- Automation: Leverage Power Automate or Python to automate reporting workflows, increasing team efficiency and data reliability.
Required Technical Expertise
Candidates must demonstrate mastery in the following areas:
- Power BI Ecosystem: Expert knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service, including workspace management and data gateways.
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL (T-SQL, Stored Procedures).
- Data Modeling: Strong experience in dimensional modeling and building scalable enterprise data models.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business intelligence and data analytics is required for this senior-level position.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
