Position Overview
Our client, a top-tier management consulting firm, has partnered with a leading Investment Bank in New York City to hire a highly specialized Regulatory Reporting PL/SQL Developer. This is a high-impact role that requires a unique blend of deep technical PL/SQL development skills and functional expertise in the complex world of financial regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of regulatory reports, including solution design, development, data analysis, and validation for critical filings such as FR 2052A and FR Y-15.
Technical Responsibilities
- Oracle Data Warehouse Development: Lead the development of Data Marts and Data Warehouses using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix scripting.
- Database Expertise: Demonstrate strong knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase, and MS SQL Server, to manage and manipulate large financial datasets.
- Code Implementation: Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and cursors tailored for regulatory requirements.
- Production Management: Manage the releasing and packaging of code into production environments, ensuring strict adherence to the SDLC lifecycle.
- Data Validation: Perform rigorous data analysis and validation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of regulatory reports before submission.
Functional and Domain Expertise
This role is not just about coding; it requires a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape. You will be the subject matter expert for FR 2052A (Complex Institution Liquidity Monitoring Report) and other related filings. You must have the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solution designs. Your experience should include at least 10 years within a financial institution, specifically working on regulatory reporting topics. Experience with Axiom software is highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage in the selection process.
Professional Requirements
- 10-15 years of professional experience as a Developer or Analyst in the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of liaising between end-users and technical teams to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to summarize functional requirements effectively.
- Self-sufficient and proactive approach to sourcing information and troubleshooting complex issues independently.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, necessary for working in a fast-paced investment banking environment.
Work Environment and Compliance
This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days onsite per week. Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
