Role Overview: GCP AI Lead or Architect
We are seeking a visionary and highly technical GCP AI Lead or Architect to join our premier technology team in New York City. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing scalable, secure, and high-performance AI solutions specifically tailored for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a blend of architectural leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through the complexities of building production-ready AI applications.
Key Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Define and implement comprehensive cloud architecture strategies for AI/ML workloads on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
- Review and refine solution designs to ensure they adhere to industry best practices for scalability, security, and operational performance.
- Architect and optimize enterprise-level AI applications, with a specific focus on Large Language Model (LLM) solutions in complex production environments.
- Design and execute advanced strategies for prompt engineering, Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) integration.
- Enable and champion multi-modal AI capabilities, including text, image, video, and audio processing, utilizing the full suite of GCP services and frameworks.
- Collaborate on open-source AI initiatives and contribute to the broader AI research community through publications or technical whitepapers.
- Implement robust A/B testing frameworks and personalization engines to drive feedback-driven optimization pipelines.
- Oversee the fine-tuning and deployment of LLMs using industry-standard frameworks like Hugging Face, OpenAI, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, integrated seamlessly with Vertex AI.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform architecture, specifically within the Vertex AI ecosystem. You should have a proven track record of taking AI solutions from conceptual design to production-level scaling. Deep knowledge of BigQuery ML, Cloud Storage, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is essential. We are looking for someone who has not only worked with LLMs but has mastered the nuances of prompt engineering and RAG techniques. Familiarity with generative AI technologies and multi-modal models is a must. Furthermore, expertise in AI frameworks and their integration with GCP services will be critical to your success. Candidates should demonstrate a history of contributions to open-source projects or published research, reflecting a commitment to staying at the cutting edge of AI innovation.
