Role Overview

The Cloud Engineer will be a pivotal member of our infrastructure team, focusing on the design, implementation, and management of highly scalable and resilient cloud environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, specifically utilizing Terraform and Terragrunt to manage complex multi-cloud architectures. As we move into 2026, the demand for automated, self-healing systems is paramount, and this position sits at the intersection of software engineering and systems operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our cloud footprint is not only robust but also cost-effective and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated Terragrunt and Terraform structures across multiple cloud accounts, regions, and environments to ensure consistency and security.
  • Execute the refactoring of legacy infrastructure stacks, migrating resources and modules between state files with a focus on zero-downtime transitions.
  • Architect and manage Kubernetes workloads, leveraging StatefulSets, Helm, and Kustomize to support containerized applications in a multi-cloud landscape.
  • Write and maintain high-quality Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration management at scale across diverse Linux distributions including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps architects and business stakeholders to enforce security protocols, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins, integrating GitOps workflows for seamless application delivery.
  • Utilize Python or Golang for advanced scripting tasks, enhancing automation capabilities and system monitoring.
  • Manage secrets and sensitive data using HashiCorp Vault, ensuring that all cloud-init image creations and software installations are fully automated and secure.

Technical Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure orchestration.
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes administration, including Helm and multi-cloud deployment strategies.
  • Expertise in Linux system administration across various distributions (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu).
  • Proven ability to script in Python or Golang for infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and GitOps methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS or other major cloud providers.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, HashiCorp Vault, and automated image creation tools.

Professional Growth and Impact

In this role, you will not only manage existing systems but also drive the technological roadmap for our cloud strategy. You will be expected to stay ahead of emerging trends in the cloud-native ecosystem, evaluating new tools and methodologies that can improve our operational efficiency. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of our global services, making this a high-visibility role within the organization. We value engineers who are proactive, curious, and dedicated to continuous improvement. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that define the future of our digital infrastructure.
