Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Angular Developer to join our Front-End Engineering team, specifically supporting our investment banking and global markets divisions. This is a hybrid role based in New York, requiring three days onsite per week. You will be at the forefront of designing and evolving large-scale Angular applications that drive critical trading, analytics, and AI-driven platforms. This position is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced financial environment and possesses a deep passion for modern web technologies and architectural excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex, modular Angular applications (v19+) utilizing industry best practices for performance, maintainability, and testability.
- Collaborate with system architects to define application structures, state management strategies, and seamless integration patterns.
- Leverage advanced tools and libraries including RxJS, Angular Signals, Apollo GraphQL, and Angular CDK.
- Utilize modern build tooling such as Nx monorepos, Vite, and ESBuild to ensure scalable front-end architectures.
- Partner closely with UI/UX designers to deliver clean, accessible, and intuitive interfaces for data-rich, high-volume financial applications.
- Participate in and lead code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions to maintain high code quality.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt enhancements within the Angular ecosystem, including new language features and build optimizations.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical craftsmanship.
- Champion improvements in CI/CD pipelines and front-end development standards across the global organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited US college or university.
- 5+ years of professional experience in web application development with a focus on Angular (v19+ preferred).
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS3 (including Tailwind or SCSS).
- Proven experience working within large enterprise environments, specifically within the investment banking or financial services sector.
- Deep understanding of component-driven design, module boundaries, and sophisticated state management.
- Hands-on experience with both REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication flows like OAuth2/OIDC.
- Experience with modern unit and integration testing frameworks such as Jest and PlayWright.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
- An artistic mind and aptitude for creating visually appealing and functional user interfaces.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Nx monorepos, Angular Signals, or hybrid SSR setups (e.g., Angular Universal).
- Experience integrating front-end applications with Spring Boot, Node.js, or other enterprise-grade APIs.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions) and code-quality tools like SonarQube and ESLint.
Special Requirements
Bachelors or masters degree from a US college required; Recent Investment banking experience required; Zoom and onsite interview required; GraphQL experience a Must.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
