Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Business Analyst / Project Manager to join our financial services team in Iselin, NJ. This hybrid role requires a professional with a deep understanding of the investment banking domain, specifically focusing on reconciliations, derivatives, and equities. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that complex financial data and trading lifecycles are managed with precision. This position demands a minimum of 8 years of experience in a dual BA/PM capacity within the banking or financial industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles for complex financial systems, ensuring alignment between IT departments and internal business guidelines.
- Conduct detailed data analysis using complex SQL queries (MySQL, PL/SQL, Oracle) to extract insights and perform gap analysis for financial reporting.
- Facilitate the automation of financial reconciliations, leveraging tools like Duco and Intelimatch to improve operational efficiency.
- Document comprehensive project artifacts, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), process flows, and detailed project plans.
- Collaborate with global business teams across Finance, Operations, and Compliance to identify requirements and remediate process gaps.
- Oversee the lifecycle of financial trades, including Fixed Income (FI), Equities (EQ), Derivatives, and Foreign Exchange (FX).
- Manage messaging and data movement requirements involving Swift (Payments and Cash Management), MQ, NDM, and SFTP.
Technical and Domain Requirements
- Extensive experience with Swift messaging, particularly in the context of trade confirmations and cash management.
- Proven track record in the investment domain with at least 4 years of recent experience in equities, derivatives, and trading environments.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Service Now, and the MS Office Suite.
- Strong technical background in database management and data analysis to support complex financial reconciliations.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, requiring at least 3 days per week on-site at our Iselin, NJ facility.
Professional Qualifications
Candidates must possess a sound understanding of the clearing and settlement processes for various financial instruments. The role requires a proactive individual capable of handling multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with stakeholders across different time zones and business units. Prior experience in automating financial reports and reconciliations is highly preferred to drive the digital transformation of our financial operations.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
