Role Overview
The Senior Python Developer (Streamlit) will be a pivotal member of our engineering team in New York, NY. This role focuses on building high-performance data applications and internal tools using the Streamlit framework. As a senior developer, you will bridge the gap between data science and IT operations, ensuring that our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and capable of supporting complex analytical workflows. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive web applications using Python and Streamlit to visualize complex datasets.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate complex machine learning models into user-friendly dashboards.
- Optimize application performance and ensure seamless integration with existing IT operations and cloud infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for code quality, comprehensive testing, and automated deployment within a CI/CD environment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to production support.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience in Python development, specifically within the context of data-driven applications and backend services.
- Proven track record of building and deploying Streamlit applications in a production environment at scale.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, including server management, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience with database management, including both SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and NoSQL technologies.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to enhance and customize Streamlit components when necessary.
- Knowledge of security protocols and data privacy standards relevant to enterprise software.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional software development experience with a focus on Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document complex systems clearly.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
