Project Context: Post-Merger Finance Stabilization

This SAP FSCM Consultant role is a high-stakes, senior-level engagement centered on a Post-Merger Finance Stabilization project within a complex SAP ECC landscape. Based in St. Louis, MO, this position is critical for ensuring financial integrity following a major corporate merger. The project involves consolidating multiple company codes and instances, requiring a consultant who can navigate the intricacies of multi-entity financial structures. This is not a standard AMS support role or a greenfield implementation; it is a hands-on execution role focused on protecting revenue continuity and ensuring a successful first consolidated close in a live production environment.

Core Responsibilities and Technical Leadership

  • Credit Management Consolidation: You will be responsible for consolidating and aligning credit management structures across merged company codes. This includes validating customer credit master data and ensuring that credit exposure calculations remain accurate throughout the migration process.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Integrity: A primary focus of this role is protecting AR integrity during company code consolidation. You will validate open AR migration data and dispute management processes during mock conversion cycles to prevent any disruption to the order-to-cash (OTC) cycle.
  • System Integration and Validation: You will diagnose and resolve discrepancies in credit exposure and AR balances that could impact revenue reporting. This involves validating interface integrity across integrated systems and ensuring that batch processes are functioning correctly in the new consolidated environment.
  • Cutover and Mock Conversion Execution: As a lead consultant, you will take an active role in mock conversion cycles and cutover weekends. This requires high accountability and the ability to make decisive adjustments under pressure to protect close timelines and revenue continuity.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: You will act as a key liaison between the Credit, OTC, SD, Treasury, and Finance leadership teams. Effective communication is essential to ensure that all departments are aligned during the structural transition and that any risks to the consolidated close are mitigated promptly.
  • Stabilization in Imperfect Conditions: You must be comfortable operating in environments with imperfect data. The ability to provide pragmatic resolutions to complex data discrepancies is a hallmark of a successful candidate in this role.

Required Experience and Success Profile

The successful candidate must possess between 12 and 15 years of deep SAP experience, with a significant and verifiable focus on SAP ECC FSCM and Credit Management. We are looking for a professional who has participated in at least two major legal entity consolidations, carve-ins/outs, or post-merger ERP integrations. You must have a proven track record of stabilizing credit management in multi-instance or multi-template SAP environments. Technical expertise in credit exposure calculation, credit checks, and Sales and Distribution (SD) integration is mandatory. This role requires an onsite presence in St. Louis with the flexibility for 50-100% travel as needed to support various project phases. Candidates must be prepared to work extended hours during critical cutover periods and maintain a high level of visibility with executive leadership.

Special Requirements

Lead experience is mandatory. Onsite/Onshore with 50-100% travel required. US Central Time hours. Domain restriction: Post-Merger Finance Stabilization.
