Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Owner for a 6-month plus contract position located in Parsippany, NJ. This role is specifically tailored for professionals with extensive experience in the Hotel and Hospitality domain. As a Product Owner, you will serve as the primary link between business stakeholders and the technical execution teams, ensuring that the product vision is translated into actionable requirements and high-quality features. This role requires a candidate who is either local to New Jersey or resides within the EST time zone to facilitate seamless collaboration.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Hotel domain to drive product innovation.
- Create comprehensive functional requirement business documents (BRDs) and detailed business process flows.
- Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to ensure the team is always working on the highest-value tasks.
- Translate high-level business requirements into granular user stories with clear, measurable acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate daily with stakeholders, technical architects, and UI/UX designers to align on product goals.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, specifically focusing on front-end applications and mobile testing.
- Utilize JIRA and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Ensure the timely delivery of features while maintaining strict quality standards and meeting business objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6 to 8+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst role.
- Proven expertise in the Hotel/Hospitality domain is mandatory.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
- Proficiency in creating use cases and mapping complex business processes.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence for requirements management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead UAT efforts for mobile and web-based applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation & Location
