Role Overview: SAP BTP Consultant
Square Hiring LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP BTP Consultant for a critical onsite engagement in Raritan, New Jersey. As the SAP ecosystem continues to evolve toward a ‘Clean Core’ strategy, the Business Technology Platform (BTP) has become the cornerstone of modern enterprise architecture. This role is designed for a technical expert who can navigate the complexities of cloud-based extensibility, integration, and application development within the SAP landscape.
Technical Ecosystem and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated applications using a variety of SAP BTP services. This includes a heavy focus on SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that enhance business productivity. You will be expected to leverage the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) along with Node.js and Java to build robust backend services. A significant portion of the role involves side-by-side extensibility, ensuring that core SAP systems remain untouched while delivering custom functionality through BTP.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on SAP BTP.
- Develop RESTful APIs and OData services for seamless integration between SAP and third-party systems.
- Utilize SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA) to streamline business workflows and reduce manual intervention.
- Configure Event Mesh for asynchronous communication and real-time data synchronization.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines specifically tailored for SAP BTP environments to ensure rapid and reliable deployment.
- Work with SAP Joule extensions to incorporate advanced AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Ensure adherence to SAP’s Clean Core framework for all RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) developments.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess a deep understanding of SAP architecture and integration patterns. Proficiency in ABAP, specifically within the context of the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), is essential. Experience with the SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and version control systems like Git is required. Furthermore, familiarity with modern web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3 is expected to support front-end development efforts. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices will be vital for success in this collaborative, fast-paced environment.
