Role Overview: S/4 Fiori Security Consultant
Adventa Tech Inc. is seeking a highly specialized S/4 Fiori Security Consultant for a critical remote engagement, primarily supporting operations in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is essential for securing the enterprise SAP ecosystem, specifically focusing on the Fiori application layer and the underlying SAP Gateway architecture. As a senior security expert, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of robust access controls, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining strict compliance with federal security standards. This position is restricted to US Citizens and requires an active or in-active Secret Clearance.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Requirements
- Design and implement SAP Fiori security frameworks, including complex role-based access control (RBAC) and secure OData service configurations.
- Deploy advanced authentication mechanisms such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to harden user access points.
- Execute precise mapping of user roles to specific Fiori Catalogs, Groups, and Tiles, strictly adhering to the principle of least privilege.
- Secure critical OData services within the SAP Gateway system by configuring and assigning appropriate authorization objects, specifically S_SERVICE.
- Enforce industry-standard data encryption protocols, ensuring all Fiori communications utilize HTTPS and TLS for data in transit.
- Establish and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and auditing frameworks for the SAP Gateway to proactively identify and mitigate security threats.
- Conduct frequent and thorough security audits and vulnerability assessments of Fiori applications and the SAP Gateway environment.
- Collaborate closely with EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) teams to address and implement specific security requirements within the supply chain modules.
Professional Qualifications and Expertise
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in SAP Security, with a proven track record in S/4HANA environments. You must demonstrate a deep technical understanding of the SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration and the ability to resolve complex authorization conflicts. Experience with SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) is highly desirable for this role. Given the remote nature of the project, candidates must exhibit strong self-management skills and the ability to maintain high productivity while collaborating with stakeholders primarily located on the East Coast. Your expertise will ensure that the Fiori interface remains a secure, efficient, and compliant gateway for enterprise users, protecting sensitive data while facilitating seamless business operations.
Detailed Technical Scope
In this capacity, you will delve into the architectural intricacies of SAP Fiori, managing the security settings for both Front-End (FES) and Back-End (BES) servers. You will be responsible for hardening the communication layers against modern cyber threats, which involves a sophisticated understanding of Web Dispatcher configurations and their interaction with Fiori security policies. Furthermore, you will provide expert guidance on the security implications of custom Fiori application development, ensuring that developers follow secure coding practices and that all custom OData services are properly registered and secured. Your role extends beyond technical execution; you will serve as a subject matter expert, advising project leadership on emerging security risks and developing comprehensive mitigation strategies. The successful candidate will also manage the full lifecycle of security roles, from initial design and testing in development environments to final deployment and ongoing maintenance in production. This requires a meticulous approach to documentation and a steadfast commitment to maintaining a clean, auditable security environment that meets all regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
