Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer for a 9-month contract position based onsite in Reston, VA. This role is specifically tailored for a professional with a deep background in the Telecommunications sector, focusing on the development and configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet complex business requirements. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with architects and technical leads to translate design recommendations into functional, high-performance solutions. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage team decisions and contribute to key architectural discussions within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules including ITSM and ITOM.
  • Configure workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies to streamline business processes.
  • Implement and maintain Integrations Hub and Flow Designer components for seamless system connectivity.
  • Hands-on development within OMT, TSOM, TSM, TNI, CMDB, and SOMT modules.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure application performance and security standards are met.
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers and foster a collaborative technical environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions and system configurations.
  • Monitor system health, perform upgrades, and troubleshoot complex platform issues.

Technical Requirements

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a focus on ITSM and ITOM modules.
  • Mandatory experience within the Telecommunications industry.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and CMDB management.
  • Familiarity with specialized modules such as TNI (Telecommunications Network Inventory) and TSOM.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for ServiceNow customization.
  • Certification in CSA (Certified System Administrator), CAD (Certified Application Developer), or CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Reston, VA, for the duration of the contract.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $75 – $105 per year (Estimated)
