Position Overview

Adventa Tech Inc is actively recruiting for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join a long-term project in Reston, Virginia. This is an onsite, contract-based role with an initial duration of 9 months, with a high likelihood of extension based on performance and project needs. We are specifically looking for local candidates who are already based in the Virginia area and possess a valid local Driver’s License. The project is situated within the Telecom industry, requiring a developer who can navigate the complexities of telecommunications data and service management workflows. This role is critical for the ongoing digital transformation of our client’s service operations, and we need a professional who can deliver high-quality, scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules in alignment with architectural guidelines and business requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules, providing technical leadership and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain custom applications on the ServiceNow platform to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using Integration Hub, APIs, and web services.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow forms, fields, tables, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
  • Build and optimize complex workflows and flow designer components to automate business processes.
  • Hands-on involvement with OMT, TSOM, TSM, TNI, CMDB, and SOMT components.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including upgrades, patches, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions and configurations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure that the developed solutions meet the evolving needs of the business.

Required Technical Skills

  • Extensive professional experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) and ITOM (Information Technology Operations Management).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow-specific scripting (GlideRecord, GlideSystem, etc.).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Integration Hub and building custom integrations.
  • Strong understanding of the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and its role in service management.
  • Familiarity with Telecom-specific ServiceNow modules such as OMT and TSOM is highly desirable.
  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues.

Candidate Requirements and Interview Process

This role is restricted to candidates currently holding an H4EAD visa, with a validity period extending at least through December 2026. Candidates must be local to the Reston, VA area and provide a valid Virginia Driver’s License and a LinkedIn profile link. The selection process will involve two rounds of video interviews to assess technical competency and cultural fit. Salary: $80 – $100 per year (Estimated)
