Position Overview: Senior Product Manager (Banking)

Kanak IT Services Inc. is seeking a distinguished Senior Product Manager with a profound background in the Banking sector to lead transformative product initiatives in New York City. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for enterprise-level banking products, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and market trends.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from inception through launch and post-implementation review, focusing on Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, and Payments.
  • Translate complex banking workflows and regulatory requirements into actionable product features and user stories.
  • Lead Agile/Scrum teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across legal, compliance, risk, and technology departments to ensure product feasibility and adherence to industry standards.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for digital transformation and modernization within the banking domain.
  • Oversee the integration of API-based platforms and microservices to create a seamless and scalable banking ecosystem.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate product success and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering workshops with business owners to capture the nuances of lending, core banking, and digital payment systems.
  • Mentor junior product managers and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the product organization.
  • Navigate the complexities of cross-border payments and real-time settlement systems like FedNow and SWIFT gpi.
  • Ensure that all product developments adhere to the latest cybersecurity protocols and data protection laws.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must bring over 12 years of dedicated experience in Product Management, with a significant portion of that time spent within the Banking or Financial Services industry. Expertise in domains such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Payments, and Lending is essential. A deep understanding of banking regulations (such as KYC, AML, and Dodd-Frank) and compliance frameworks is required to ensure product integrity. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale digital transformation initiatives and working with complex system architectures. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence is a must. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are vital for managing diverse stakeholder groups in the high-pressure environment of New York City’s financial district. Experience with cloud-native banking platforms and AI-driven financial analytics is a significant plus as we look toward the future of the industry.

Location and Commitment

This is a strictly onsite position located in New York City, NY. Candidates must be local to the NYC metropolitan area, as daily onsite presence is required to facilitate close collaboration with the core development and business teams. Compensation & Location

Salary: $190,000 – $250,000 per year (Estimated)
