Role Overview: Senior Oracle CPQ Developer & Tech Lead
TechOaks IT is looking for a seasoned Senior Oracle CPQ Developer and Technical Lead to spearhead our enterprise Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) initiatives. In the 2026 business environment, the speed and accuracy of the sales-to-order process are competitive differentiators. This role is central to optimizing that journey. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Oracle CPQ Cloud (formerly BigMachines) applications, from initial architectural design to production support and continuous improvement. This is a remote-friendly position that requires a leader capable of managing complex integrations and mentoring a global team of developers.
Technical Expertise and Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex configurations, commerce processes, and document engines within Oracle CPQ Cloud.
- Expertly utilize BML (BigMachines Extensibility Language) and BMQL to implement sophisticated business logic, including Recommendation, Hiding, Constraint, and Configured Items rules.
- Design and manage Document Designer templates and Quote Management workflows to ensure a seamless user experience for sales teams.
- Lead the integration of Oracle CPQ Cloud with Salesforce and other CRM/ERP systems using SOAP and REST Web Services, XML, and XSL.
- Establish and enforce software engineering best practices, including design patterns, code reviews, and unit testing.
- Manage the setup of Workflows, Profiles, Approval Processes, Steps, and Transition Rules to align with evolving business requirements.
- Provide high-level technical documentation for system designs, deployment plans, and production support protocols.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Onshore, Onsite, and Offshore teams to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
Leadership and Strategic Vision
As a Tech Lead, your role extends beyond coding. You will be a strategic partner to the business, identifying opportunities to streamline the quote-to-cash process through automation and innovative design. You will proactively manage issue queues and minimize impacts on stakeholders through meticulous planning and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Your ability to mentor junior developers and foster a culture of quality and continuous integration will be vital to the team’s success. In 2026, the integration of AI-driven pricing and guided selling within CPQ is becoming standard; your ability to stay ahead of these trends and implement them within the Oracle ecosystem will be highly valued.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience specifically with Oracle CPQ Cloud (BigMachines).
- Overall 12+ years of experience in Information Technology and software development.
- Proven expertise in BML, BMQL, XML, XSL, and web service integrations.
- Strong background in integrating CPQ platforms with Salesforce.com.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with both IT and business teams.
- Experience in project planning, reporting, and team management in an agile framework.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $85 – $115 per year (Estimated)
