Role Overview
ConvexTech Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Oracle HCM Payroll Functional Consultant for a critical 6+ month contract engagement in New York City. This hybrid role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll implementations while maintaining a strong focus on statutory compliance and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and configuration of Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll modules, including the definition of payroll frequencies, payment methods, and complex calculation cards.
- Manage end-to-end payroll cycles, ensuring precise payroll calculation, validation, and successful posting to the General Ledger.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated Fast Formulas to handle intricate pay rules and unique business requirements.
- Utilize HCM Data Loader (HDL) for large-scale data migration and transformation tasks.
- Create and customize advanced reports using BI Publisher and OTBI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure all payroll processes remain in strict compliance with local, national, and statutory tax regulations.
- Execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing to ensure system stability during updates.
- Provide Tier 3 (L3) support for complex payroll issues, troubleshooting technical glitches and functional gaps.
- Collaborate on cross-module integrations involving Core HR, Absence Management, and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL).
Technical and Functional Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess between 3 to 10+ years of dedicated experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll implementations. Deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Payroll is mandatory, and a working knowledge of Absence Management or Time & Labor (OTL) is considered a significant advantage. Technical proficiency in SQL, Fast Formulas, and HDL is essential for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate a robust understanding of payroll statutory compliance and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality functional designs in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are required to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Compensation & Location
