Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our Video Streaming and Engineering team in Los Angeles. This hybrid role is critical to our systems evolution, where you will work alongside video engineers to build, deploy, and operate high-performance infrastructure for Desktop, OTT, and Mobile platforms. As we expand our footprint, you will manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, with an increasing strategic focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This position offers the opportunity to own critical infrastructure decisions and lead multi-cloud migration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP to support high-volume video encoding and streaming workloads.
- Optimize and manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE, EKS) across multiple cloud providers to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for multi-region and multi-cloud environments.
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and GCP Cloud Build for rapid, secure deployments.
- Drive GitOps workflows using ArgoCD to automate application delivery and maintain system consistency.
- Establish cross-cloud networking patterns, including Workload Identity integration and secure VPC peering.
- Monitor system performance and cloud costs using Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support production streaming infrastructure and troubleshoot complex networking or container issues.
Required Technical Skills
- Extensive experience with GCP services including GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
- Deep proficiency in AWS services such as EKS, EC2, ElastiCache, RDS, and S3.
- Expert-level knowledge of Terraform for provisioning multi-cloud resources.
- Strong background in Kubernetes orchestration and containerization strategies.
- Experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD and automation scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, Load Balancing, and security groups.
- Familiarity with video encoding pipelines and streaming protocols is a significant plus.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring at least 13 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering. We are looking for a proactive learner who is willing to master OCI as our infrastructure evolves. You must have a proven ability to modernize legacy systems and implement observability patterns that ensure operational excellence. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional development teams and documenting complex runbooks.

This is a hybrid position based in Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate. Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
