Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Kaseya MDM Developer to spearhead the development and management of a sophisticated mobile device management platform tailored for the healthcare industry. This role is pivotal in supporting healthcare devices used in home-based care settings, ensuring that tablets and smartphones are secure, compliant, and fully functional for remote care coordination. The platform manages thousands of devices used for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), monitoring, and compliance reporting. This role requires a developer who is not only technically proficient but also understands the critical nature of healthcare technology. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of devices that are essential for patient care and compliance. The platform you build will handle sensitive data, requiring a rigorous approach to security and encryption. As a senior member of the team, you will influence the architectural direction of our device management strategy, ensuring scalability as our fleet grows. You will work in a collaborative environment, interfacing with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless experience for healthcare providers and patients. Your ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment will be key to our success. This is a remote-friendly position based out of Atlanta, GA, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge technology in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and enhance scalable Kaseya MDM architecture for managing thousands of healthcare devices.
  • Configure and maintain secure device enrollment, zero-touch provisioning, and OTA update mechanisms via Kaseya MDM.
  • Manage end-to-end device lifecycle: onboarding, policy enforcement, monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
  • Enable remote device control capabilities (lock, wipe, app management, kiosk mode, certificate rotation) using Kaseya MDM.
  • Build and maintain backend services/APIs supporting device telemetry, compliance validation, and operational dashboards.
  • Ensure device compliance with healthcare security standards and secure handling of sensitive data (HIPAA or equivalent).
  • Support EVV workflows by ensuring reliable GPS tracking, device uptime, and real-time synchronization.
  • Optimize system performance for high concurrency and distributed device fleets.
  • Integrate the Kaseya MDM platform with identity management, monitoring tools, and care-management systems.
  • Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous platform hardening.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term architectural strategy.

Essential Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kaseya Mobile Device Management.
  • Deep understanding of Android Enterprise (fully managed/kiosk mode) and iOS device management.
  • Experience with zero-touch enrollment, remote provisioning, and large-scale device fleet operations.
  • Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot.
  • RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with messaging/event-streaming systems such as Kafka.
  • Strong database design and performance tuning with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Secure device communication (OAuth2, JWT, TLS/mTLS); certificate-based authentication; device-level encryption.
  • Experience in regulated healthcare environments (HIPAA or equivalent).
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

The Senior Kaseya MDM Developer position is a specialized role focused on the design and optimization of a large-scale mobile device management platform tailored for the healthcare industry. As the lead developer, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of thousands of devices, including tablets and smartphones, which are critical for home-based care and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). Your primary objective is to ensure that these devices are secure, compliant with HIPAA regulations, and always available for healthcare providers. You will architect the Kaseya MDM environment from the ground up, implementing zero-touch provisioning and automated over-the-air (OTA) updates to minimize manual intervention. Your technical stack will center around Java and Spring Boot for backend services, with a heavy emphasis on microservices architecture and RESTful API development. You will also work with event-streaming technologies like Kafka to handle real-time telemetry data from the device fleet. Security is paramount in this role; you will implement advanced authentication mechanisms, including OAuth2, JWT, and certificate-based mTLS, to protect sensitive patient data. You will also be responsible for the entire device lifecycle, from initial enrollment to secure decommissioning. This includes configuring kiosk modes to restrict device usage to approved applications and implementing remote wipe capabilities for lost or stolen hardware. In addition to development, you will lead incident resolution efforts, performing root-cause analysis on platform outages and implementing hardening measures to prevent future issues. You will mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise in MDM and cloud-native development. This role requires a deep understanding of both Android Enterprise and iOS management frameworks. Working in a regulated environment, you will ensure that every line of code and every configuration change meets the highest standards of compliance. This is a remote-friendly role based in Atlanta, GA, offering the opportunity to work on technology that directly impacts patient outcomes and the efficiency of healthcare delivery.
