Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Boomi Integration Architect for a critical, on-site role in Houston, Texas. This position requires a seasoned professional with over 12 years of total IT experience and a minimum of 5 years dedicated to Boomi Architecture. As a lead architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of complex integration solutions that connect disparate systems across the enterprise landscape. You will work closely with our client, Birlasoft, to ensure that integration patterns are scalable, secure, and aligned with modern architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect robust integration solutions using the Dell Boomi platform to facilitate seamless data flow between JDE, EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, D365, CPQ, and MDM systems.
- Define and document API definitions utilizing Swagger and Open API standards to ensure consistency and interoperability across services.
- Implement advanced API security protocols, including OAuth and SAML, to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and deploy both Synchronous and Asynchronous API patterns to meet various business processing requirements.
- Configure and optimize various adapters, including DB adapters, JMS adapters, and Web Service connectors, to maintain high-performance connectivity.
- Utilize Map functions and create custom User-Defined Map Functions to handle complex data transformations.
- Architect process flows using Decision shapes, Branch/Route shapes, and Flow Control shapes to manage sophisticated business logic.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of integration processes, including Package Creation, Deployment, Scheduling, and Undeployment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration processes using the Process Reporting Tab and Document Flow activity logs.
- Configure Data Process shapes and Business Rule shapes to enforce data quality and validation logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact directly with customers to gather requirements and provide technical leadership.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Information Technology.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Boomi Architect, specifically focusing on enterprise-level integrations.
- Deep expertise in integrating with major ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and JD Edwards.
- Proficiency in using Mail Connectors, Application Connectors, and managing Document/Process properties.
- Strong understanding of messaging middleware and JMS standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering high-availability integration solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Professional Environment
This role is based on-site in Houston, TX, offering a collaborative environment where you will be the primary point of contact for integration architecture. You will be expected to lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and drive the adoption of best practices within the Boomi ecosystem. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility projects that are central to the client’s digital transformation strategy.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year
