Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Salesforce Developer for a long-term, 24-month contract engagement based in Reston, Virginia. This is a pivotal leadership role within our digital transformation team, requiring a candidate who can blend deep technical expertise with strategic architectural vision. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives. This position requires a local presence on the East Coast as in-person interviews are a mandatory part of the selection process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Architect complex integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including environment management, CI/CD pipeline optimization, and release management.
  • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce releases and features, providing recommendations on how to leverage new capabilities to drive business value.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 6 years dedicated to the Salesforce platform.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale Salesforce implementations in enterprise environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, and asynchronous processing.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience and building custom LWC components.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and data architecture.
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect) are highly preferred.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying potential risks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Special Requirements

In-person interviews required; candidates must be local to the East Coast only. 24-month contract duration.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Reston, VA
