Position Summary
Adept Tech Services is seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant for a high-impact role based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL. This position requires a deep technical understanding of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules to support complex business processes in a manufacturing and corporate environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and providing ongoing support for core financial modules, ensuring that the SAP landscape aligns with the organization’s strategic financial goals. We are specifically looking for local candidates in the New York or Chicago metropolitan areas who can provide on-site or hybrid support as required by the project scope.
Core Responsibilities
- Configure and support core SAP FI modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Banking, and Asset Accounting.
- Design and implement comprehensive solutions for Product Costing, covering Material Master data, Material Costing, Cost Object Controlling, and Product Costing by Period or Order.
- Develop and optimize Intercompany processes, including intercompany billing, automated reconciliation, and financial eliminations to streamline global operations.
- Manage the integration between FI/CO and other SAP modules, specifically focusing on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycles.
- Collaborate with the Materials Management (MM) team to ensure seamless integration of supplier master data and procurement transactions into the financial ledger.
- Work with the Sales and Distribution (SD) team to optimize revenue recognition processes and customer master data integration, including advanced Margin Analysis.
- Provide expert guidance on manufacturing process integration, including production order settlement, Work in Process (WIP) calculations, and variance analysis.
Technical Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate extensive expertise in SAP FI/CO configuration and a proven track record of successful full-lifecycle implementations. A strong grasp of financial accounting principles and their application within an ERP environment is essential. You should be comfortable navigating complex cross-functional integrations and possess the analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot and resolve intricate financial data discrepancies. Experience with S/4HANA is highly desirable, as is a background in the manufacturing sector where product costing and variance analysis are critical components of the financial reporting cycle. Excellent communication skills are required to bridge the gap between technical IT teams and business stakeholders in the finance department.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
