Role Overview: Network Engineer II
DigitalDhara is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer II for a critical onsite position in Dallas, Texas. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise network infrastructures. As a Network Engineer II, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer II will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This position is strictly onsite in Dallas, TX, and requires a candidate who can demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Participate in managing all network security solutions.
- Perform network design and capacity planning.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in network engineering.
- Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation.
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of telephone and data protocols and standards.
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.

- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
