Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Project Manager to join our enterprise team in New York, supporting a high-profile engagement for American Express (Amex) through Zensar. This role is pivotal in the design, execution, and ongoing management of our enterprise Privacy strategy and program initiatives. As the regulatory landscape continues to evolve in 2026, this position requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of data privacy, legal requirements, and technological implementation. You will act as a bridge between various departments, ensuring that privacy remains a core component of our operational framework while driving program delivery and tracking progress against enterprise priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the enterprise Privacy Program strategy in partnership with Privacy, Legal, Technology, Data, and Control Management teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to build, maintain, and communicate a multi-year Privacy roadmap, including key initiatives, workstreams, and milestones.
  • Monitor emerging Privacy regulations and regulatory change events; assess enterprise readiness and translate impacts into clear program requirements.
  • Translate complex regulatory, policy, and risk concepts into actionable Privacy initiatives and coordinated workstreams.
  • Partner with workstream leads to ensure alignment, manage dependencies, and drive execution against the broader Privacy strategy.
  • Create executive-ready PowerPoint materials and apply strong storytelling skills to clearly communicate Privacy strategy, roadmap, and program progress.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture that prioritizes data integrity and consumer trust.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, documenting key decisions and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of project health and potential risks.
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation to ensure that privacy initiatives are delivered on time and within financial constraints.

Strategic Impact

In this role, you will not just be managing tasks; you will be shaping the way a global financial leader handles sensitive information. The Project Manager will be responsible for interpreting global privacy laws (such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging 2026 standards) and ensuring they are integrated into the technology stack. This involves deep collaboration with Data Architects and Security Engineers to ensure that ‘Privacy by Design’ is more than just a buzzword. You will be expected to lead through influence, managing diverse teams that do not report directly to you, and driving a culture of compliance and excellence across the New York office and remote global hubs.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline, coupled with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, program strategy, or related fields. You must be a structured, strategic problem solver who connects execution to broader business, risk, and regulatory objectives. Excellent communication and storytelling skills are essential, as you will be distilling complex topics into clear, executive-ready narratives for senior leadership. Experience in a consultative, project-based role is highly preferred, as is a foundational understanding of Privacy or regulatory-driven programs. You should be comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving environment and demonstrate a bias toward action.
