Role Overview: Syniti Data Migration Lead

The Syniti Data Migration Lead is a pivotal role responsible for orchestrating the complex transition of enterprise data into SAP S/4HANA environments. As we move into 2026, the demand for high-fidelity data migration has never been higher, and this position sits at the intersection of technical execution and strategic data governance. You will be tasked with leading a team of engineers to ensure that legacy data from diverse systems—including PeopleSoft, BAAN, and Infor LN—is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into the target SAP ecosystem using the Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP data migration and data quality initiatives using the Syniti platform, overseeing the full ETL lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data mapping documents that bridge the gap between legacy source systems and SAP S/4HANA target structures.
  • Execute complex data profiling, cleansing, and validation activities to ensure that only high-quality, verified data enters the production environment.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data owners, and functional consultants to define migration rules and business logic.
  • Manage and resolve data duplication issues and quality bottlenecks that arise during the transformation phase.
  • Support critical project milestones, including test cycles, mock loads, and final cutover activities, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum data integrity.
  • Document all migration steps, technical issues, and resolutions to maintain a clear audit trail and knowledge base for future platform maintenance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence in data management.

Technical Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of overall experience in Information Technology, with at least 4 years specifically focused on SAP data migration and data quality.
  • Hands-on expertise with Syniti (SKP) or equivalent enterprise-grade SAP data migration tools is mandatory.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale SAP ERP or S/4HANA implementations across multiple business units.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and advanced data analysis skills, with the ability to perform independent reconciliation and validation.
  • Prior experience migrating data from legacy platforms such as PeopleSoft, BAAN, or Infor LN is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present technical data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Project Environment and Location

This is a high-impact, onsite position based in Lisle, Illinois. The client is specifically looking for local candidates or those willing to relocate to the Lisle area. The project duration is slated for 12+ months, offering a stable and challenging environment for a senior professional to demonstrate their expertise in data architecture and migration strategy. This role requires a proactive individual who can navigate the complexities of modern data governance while delivering tangible results in a fast-paced implementation cycle.

Onsite in Lisle, IL; Locals preferred; Relocation acceptable; 12+ month contract duration.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year
