Position Summary: Techno-Functional Project Manager
In the rapidly changing economic environment of 2026, pricing strategy has become a primary lever for enterprise growth. We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Project Manager to lead a high-stakes Pricing Transformation initiative in Atlanta, GA. This onsite role requires a unique blend of deep technical knowledge and sophisticated project management capabilities. You will be the driving force behind the implementation of advanced pricing software, ensuring that technical teams and business stakeholders are perfectly aligned to deliver a solution that optimizes revenue and enhances market competitiveness.
Pricing Software Implementation and CPQ Expertise
The primary focus of this role is the successful deployment and integration of industry-leading pricing platforms. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of leading implementations for tools such as PriceFx, Vendavo, Zulliant, or PROS. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering and vendor selection through to configuration, testing, and go-live. Your understanding of Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) processes will be vital in streamlining sales workflows and ensuring that the pricing logic is accurately reflected in the software. You will work to ensure that the pricing engine can handle complex global pricing structures, rebates, and promotional logic.
Technical Leadership and Modern Architecture
While this is a project management role, a strong technical foundation is essential. You will lead teams of developers and integrators working with modern architectural patterns, including microservices and cloud-native applications. You should be comfortable discussing API integrations, data mapping, and the nuances of cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure). Your ability to “speak the language” of developers will allow you to identify technical bottlenecks early, facilitate problem-solving, and ensure that the final solution is scalable, secure, and maintainable. Experience with SQL and database management will also be beneficial when overseeing data migration and reporting initiatives.
Project Management Methodologies and Execution
You will employ a variety of project management methodologies, with a heavy emphasis on Agile and Scrum, to drive project velocity and ensure iterative delivery of value. Your responsibilities include defining project scope, creating detailed project plans, managing budgets, and identifying potential risks and dependencies. You will be responsible for establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to measure success and provide transparent reporting to the executive steering committee. Your expertise in resource leveling and capacity planning will be crucial in managing multiple workstreams concurrently within a complex, multi-year program.
Stakeholder Management and Strategic Alignment
A significant portion of your time will be spent managing relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, including Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT. You must be an expert communicator, capable of translating technical challenges into business impacts and vice versa. You will facilitate workshops, lead steering committee meetings, and manage change management efforts to ensure high user adoption of the new pricing tools. Your goal is to ensure that the pricing transformation project not only meets its technical objectives but also delivers a significant return on investment (ROI) and aligns with the company’s broader strategic goals. Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
