Role Overview
Sierra Consulting, Inc. is looking for a Senior Kofax Developer for a long-term contract engagement based in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is specifically targeted at local candidates who can bring over a decade of specialized experience in document capture and process automation. The role involves the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated Kofax solutions that streamline enterprise data extraction and workflow management. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from initial solution design to final deployment and server tuning. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical knowledge of the Kofax suite and the ability to integrate these tools into a complex enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom Kofax workflows tailored to meet specific business automation needs.
- Build and refine data extraction models using Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) to handle both structured and unstructured document types.
- Implement complex integrations between Kofax and various enterprise systems, including Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms, databases, and cloud-based applications.
- Utilize web services (REST and SOAP) to facilitate seamless data exchange between disparate systems.
- Write and maintain high-quality code and scripts using C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, and VBScript to extend Kofax functionality.
- Perform server-side configuration, installation, and performance tuning for Kofax environments.
- Apply service packs and updates to ensure system stability and security.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and detailed test plans.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate:
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT, with a heavy focus on Kofax development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kofax Capture, Kofax TotalAgility (KTA), and Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM).
- Strong programming skills in C# and the .NET framework, along with scripting experience in JavaScript and VBScript.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and software development best practices.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL Server/Oracle) and integrating capture solutions with backend databases.
- Proven ability to automate the classification and routing of documents to improve operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with scanning hardware and the technical nuances of document imaging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering robust and scalable solutions.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 per year (Estimated)
