Role Overview
Tek Inspirations LLC is seeking a highly skilled QuickBooks + Service Fusion Integration Specialist for a critical, part-time engagement. This role is specifically designed for a hands-on consultant who possesses deep technical expertise in resolving complex synchronization issues between QuickBooks and Service Fusion. Unlike standard implementation roles, this position requires a “troubleshooter” mindset—someone who can dive into existing configurations, identify points of failure, and implement robust fixes to ensure seamless data flow between these two platforms. This is a remote, contract-based position with an initial duration of 6+ months, offering the flexibility of a part-time schedule while tackling high-impact technical challenges. In the modern field service landscape, the accuracy of financial data is paramount, and your role will be central to ensuring that every invoice, payment, and customer record is perfectly mirrored across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve partial synchronization failures between Service Fusion and QuickBooks Online/Desktop environments, focusing on the root causes of data drops.
- Audit and correct mapping discrepancies related to invoices, line items, customer profiles, and payment records to ensure ledger accuracy.
- Optimize existing integration workflows to prevent future data silos, duplication errors, or reconciliation nightmares.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business-specific accounting requirements, such as specialized tax rules or class tracking, and translate them into technical configurations.
- Perform API-level troubleshooting to identify bottlenecks, rate-limiting issues, or authentication failures within the integration layer.
- Provide comprehensive documentation for all resolved issues and establish a set of best practices for the ongoing maintenance of the sync.
- Ensure that financial data integrity is maintained across both systems, specifically focusing on complex scenarios like partial payments, credit memos, and inventory adjustments.
- Monitor sync logs daily to proactively identify and mitigate potential errors before they impact the month-end closing process.
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience in managing and fixing Service Fusion to QuickBooks integrations; candidates must be able to discuss specific past sync resolutions in detail.
- Deep understanding of QuickBooks accounting structures, including the Chart of Accounts, Items, Classes, and the nuances of the QBO vs. Desktop API.
- Expertise in Service Fusion’s dispatching, invoicing, and job management modules and how they interact with external accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in API troubleshooting, JSON/XML data structures, and configuration management within SaaS platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively for a part-time schedule without constant supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues and their financial implications to non-technical business owners and accountants.

- Background in field service management industries (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Landscaping) where these tools are commonly deployed.
- Knowledge of SQL or data migration tools for advanced data cleanup and historical data correction tasks.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $85,000 – $125,000 per year (Estimated)
