Role Overview

The Lead Salesforce Developer will be a pivotal figure in our client’s digital transformation journey within the financial services sector. This onsite role in New York, NY, or Alpharetta, GA, requires a seasoned professional capable of architecting and implementing complex Salesforce solutions from day one. As a lead, you will not only write high-quality code but also mentor junior developers and collaborate with high-level stakeholders to ensure technical strategies align with business objectives. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, bringing a wealth of experience in enterprise-level Salesforce implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce to meet enterprise-grade requirements.
  • Lead the technical design process, ensuring that all solutions are scalable, secure, and adhere to Salesforce governor limits and best practices.
  • Act as a primary technical point of contact for business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into actionable technical roadmaps.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of Salesforce developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Integrate Salesforce with various third-party systems and internal databases using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware solutions, and ETL tools.
  • Oversee the deployment lifecycle using modern CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps tools to ensure seamless releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues, providing expert-level support for the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the long-term technology strategy by participating in architecture review boards and staying abreast of Salesforce releases.
  • Ensure that all development work follows the established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and meets rigorous quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA Engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Technical Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of overall IT experience, with at least 8 years dedicated specifically to Salesforce development and architecture.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex) and modern frontend frameworks like Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce Flows, Process Builder, and the overall declarative capabilities of the platform.
  • Proven track record of working with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce security model, including sharing rules, profiles, and permission sets.
  • Hands-on experience with API-led connectivity and integrating Salesforce with external systems.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to thrive in fast-paced development cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git and automated deployment tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX and modern development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Salesforce certifications, specifically Platform Developer I & II.
  • Advanced certifications such as Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience within the Financial Services or Banking domain is a significant advantage, particularly understanding regulatory compliance.
  • Exposure to MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms like Dell Boomi or Informatica.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data migration strategies, and data governance within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Experience with Salesforce Shield and other security-focused Salesforce products.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks outside of LWC is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $208,000 – $291,200 per year (Estimated)
