Role Overview: Senior Business Analyst (Insurance P&C)
ArborTekSystems is looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with a deep background in the Insurance Property & Casualty (P&C) domain to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This is a long-term contract position (12+ months) requiring a professional with over 10 years of experience who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of data analysis within the insurance sector and experience working in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements.
- Utilize Snowflake to write advanced SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and validation to support business decision-making.
- Manage project tasks, user stories, and backlogs using Rally in an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Develop detailed functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and use cases for P&C insurance systems.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to define project scope and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the testing and QA teams by defining acceptance criteria and participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Provide domain expertise in P&C insurance, specifically focusing on claims, policy administration, or underwriting workflows.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion dedicated to the Insurance P&C domain.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with Snowflake for data querying and analysis.
- Extensive experience using Rally or similar Agile project management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create clear and concise business requirement documents (BRD) and functional requirement documents (FRD).
- Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specific experience within the Claims domain of P&C insurance.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter).
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
Special Requirements
Insurance Property & Casualty (P&C) domain restriction; Claims domain experience preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $115,000 – $145,000 per year (Estimated)
