Role Overview: Performance Tester in Los Angeles
GAC Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and highly technical Performance Tester for a critical onsite engagement in Los Angeles, California. As we navigate the technological landscape of 2026, the demand for seamless application performance has never been higher. This role is designed for a specialist who excels in validating the scalability, reliability, and stability of enterprise-grade applications under diverse and strenuous load conditions. The successful candidate will be a key player in our Quality Assurance department, focusing on identifying system bottlenecks and ensuring that our client’s digital platforms can handle the rigors of modern user traffic. This position requires a deep technical foundation in Loadrunner and Selenide scripting, combined with a proactive mindset for performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Performance Strategy and Planning: You will be responsible for analyzing complex business and non-functional requirements to define a robust performance testing scope. This includes developing comprehensive workload models and test scenarios that accurately reflect real-world usage patterns.
- Scripting and Execution: Leveraging your expertise in Loadrunner and Selenide, you will develop sophisticated test scripts. Your role involves conducting various testing types, including load, stress, endurance, soak, volume, and scalability testing to ensure the application remains resilient.
- Metrics and KPI Management: You will define and monitor critical performance metrics such as response times, throughput, CPU utilization, memory consumption, and Transactions Per Second (TPS).
- Analysis and Root Cause Identification: Beyond just running tests, you will perform deep-dive analysis of results to pinpoint performance bottlenecks. Collaborating closely with development and infrastructure teams, you will facilitate root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations for system tuning.
- Reporting and Stakeholder Communication: You will prepare detailed performance reports that highlight findings, risks, and strategic recommendations, presenting these insights to stakeholders to guide release readiness.
- Continuous Optimization: Working with advanced Monitoring and Application Performance Management (APM) tools, you will support ongoing performance tuning activities and validate improvements through rigorous retesting.
