Role Overview: OpenText Exstream Platform Architect
The OpenText Exstream Platform Architect will lead a high-priority modernization initiative focused on migrating legacy in-house composition capabilities to the OpenText Exstream platform. This role is critical for business partners who require sophisticated batch, real-time, and interactive communication solutions, including the generation of letters, quotes, and complex proposals. The architect will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the platform, from initial infrastructure evaluation to final deployment and performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities and Architectural Design
- Design and implement robust solution architectures for Exstream integration projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies.
- Lead a team of Exstream resources and external partners in the successful implementation of CCM (Customer Communications Management) solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive infrastructure evaluations, determining the optimal balance between AWS Cloud and On-Premise environments.
- Architect High Availability (HA) solutions to ensure system resilience and 24/7 availability for mission-critical communications.
- Configure the Exstream platform to support high-volume, omni-channel delivery across online, mobile, print, and email channels.
- Orchestrate complex publishing tasks, optimizing logging, fault detection, and error handling mechanisms.
- Integrate Exstream with various delivery mechanisms and external systems, including CRM platforms and Adobe eSign.
Technical Ecosystem and Toolset
The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery over the full OpenText Exstream product suite, including:
- Exstream Design Manager and Designer for template creation and management.
- Communication Builder and Communication Server/Orchestrator for workflow automation.
- OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) for secure access and identity management.
- Exstream Empower and Content Author for interactive and business-user-driven content.
- Workshop, Supervisor, ReTouch, and StoryTeller for advanced document processing.
- OT Notifications for real-time alerts and status updates.
Strategic Migration and Performance Optimization
A significant portion of this role involves migrating workloads from legacy CCM products such as xPression, Quadient Inspire, SmartComm, Messagepoint, and Streamserve. The architect must possess the analytical skills to redesign existing templates for maximum efficiency within the Exstream environment. Furthermore, the role requires hands-on experience with performance tuning to ensure the platform can handle peak volumes without degradation. Expertise in Python and DevOps concepts is essential for automating deployment pipelines and maintaining a modern, agile development environment within the AWS Cloud Platform. The architect will also conduct customer workshops to educate stakeholders on product capabilities and ensure the solution meets all business requirements.
Special Requirements
Remote work option available; requires expertise in AWS Cloud Platform, Python, and DevOps; experience migrating from legacy CCM products like xPression or Quadient is mandatory.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
