Role Overview

The Pricing Platform Analyst is a critical role within the Everest Insurance ecosystem, specifically supporting the Catapult RE centralized pricing engine. This position is designed for a professional who can bridge the gap between complex data modeling and underwriting discipline. In the evolving landscape of 2026, insurance pricing requires a high degree of technical sophistication and data integration. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the data flowing into the centralized pricing engine is accurate, timely, and formatted to support high-stakes financial decisions. This role is not merely about data entry; it is about the synthesis of complex catastrophe modeling data from disparate sources like CATRADER, TOUCHSTONE, and RMS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Catapult RE platform to synthesize and harmonize complex modeling data from industry-standard sources including CATRADER, TOUCHSTONE, and RMS.
  • Standardize the pricing workflow to ensure that underwriters are equipped with data-driven insights, focusing on Capital allocation and Expected Loss metrics.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the pricing platform in accordance with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks and corporate compliance standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Underwriting, Risk Management, and IT departments to refine platform effectiveness and implement best practices.
  • Drive the continuous enhancement of the platform using a modern tech stack including Angular 17.3, .NET Core 3.1, and Azure SQL PaaS (Hyperscale).
  • Participate in sprint planning and perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features.
  • Troubleshoot complex data discrepancies that arise during the modeling process.

Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native database architectures.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end development with Angular and back-end development with .NET Core.
  • Deep familiarity with catastrophe modeling tools such as RMS and Touchstone.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities to interpret financial performance metrics like ROE and Margins.

Market Context and Future Outlook

As we move through 2026, the role of the Pricing Platform Analyst has become increasingly strategic. The ability to manage Hyperscale databases in Azure is no longer a luxury but a necessity for handling the massive datasets generated by modern catastrophe models. Everest Insurance is at the forefront of this transformation, and this role offers a unique opportunity to influence the financial stability of the firm. The hybrid work model in Warren, NJ, provides a balance of collaborative in-person strategy sessions and focused remote analytical work. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate not only their technical skills but also their ability to think critically about risk and capital management in a global insurance context. The successful candidate will be a key player in maintaining the underwriting discipline that Everest is known for, ensuring that every deal is priced with precision and consistency. Furthermore, the analyst will be expected to contribute to the long-term data strategy of the insurance group, identifying new data sources that can improve the predictive power of the pricing models. This involves staying current with global climate trends and regulatory changes that impact catastrophe risk. By maintaining a rigorous standard for data integrity, the analyst protects the firm’s capital and ensures long-term sustainability in a volatile market.
