Key Responsibilities and Core Competencies
- Design, develop, and implement scalable Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions from conception through to deployment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Leverage expert-level Python programming skills to build sophisticated data science models, algorithms, and applications.
- Lead the development of end-to-end ML pipelines, encompassing data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, rigorous validation, and seamless deployment into production environments.
- Develop and optimize document processing pipelines, including techniques for text extraction, natural language understanding (NLU), and information retrieval.
- Work extensively with embeddings and vector search technologies to enhance the capabilities of information retrieval and semantic understanding within large datasets.
- Design and implement solutions utilizing vector databases to manage and query high-dimensional data efficiently, supporting advanced GenAI applications.
- Apply a strong engineering mindset to all development activities, focusing on creating scalable, maintainable, and production-ready code that adheres to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and deliver impactful solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML, Generative AI, and related technologies, continuously evaluating and integrating new tools and techniques to improve existing systems.
- Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of all data science solutions, particularly within the sensitive healthcare domain.
- Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning of ML models and pipelines to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
