Overview of the CargoWise Administrator Role
Tek Inspirations LLC is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CargoWise Administrator to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role is designed for a system expert who will take full ownership of managing our company’s critical shipping software, CargoWise One. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing user access, configuring system settings, and ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the platform. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of collaborating effectively with multiple internal teams. As a CargoWise Administrator, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our logistics operations and enhancing our system capabilities to meet evolving business demands.
Key Responsibilities and Operational Impact
- System Management and Configuration: Control and manage all aspects of user access within CargoWise One, meticulously configure system settings, and ensure the platform operates seamlessly on a day-to-day basis. This includes maintaining system integrity and security.
- Customization and Optimization: Customize workflows, design intuitive dashboards, and create essential documents tailored precisely to meet specific business needs and operational requirements. Your ability to translate business needs into system configurations will be crucial.
- Issue Resolution and Support: Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues efficiently, providing comprehensive support for CargoWise One. This also involves supporting and troubleshooting integrations with other vital logistics tools and platforms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in close partnership with our IT, operations, and finance teams to continuously identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements that leverage CargoWise One’s capabilities.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver effective training programs for employees on how to optimally use the CargoWise system, ensuring all users are proficient and can maximize the software’s potential.
- Performance Monitoring and Data Integrity: Continuously monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate and up-to-date data within CargoWise One, ensuring data quality and reliability.
- Data Exchange Management: Handle all aspects of data exchange with external stakeholders, including customers, carriers, and vendors, ensuring secure and efficient communication.
Essential Qualifications and Technical Expertise
- CargoWise & Technical Proficiency: A minimum of 4+ years of hands-on, direct experience administering and configuring CargoWise One is absolutely mandatory. This includes a deep understanding of its modules and functionalities.
- CargoWise Certifications: Possession of CargoWise certifications (CCO, CCS, or CCP) is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage, demonstrating a recognized level of expertise.
- Database and API Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL for database querying and management, and practical experience with API-based integrations (eAdaptor/eHub experience is strongly preferred). Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is considered a valuable bonus.
- Beyond Administration: While administration is key, any experience in engineering aspects beyond standard administration, such as custom development or advanced scripting within CargoWise, is a plus.
- Freight Forwarder Experience: Prior experience working with a Freight Forwarder in a CargoWise super admin role is highly valued, particularly if it involved integrations, implementations, and system migrations.
- Operational Understanding: A deep and comprehensive understanding of forwarding operations, including intricate import/export processes and compliance requirements. The ability to effectively bridge technical system administration with practical operational workflows is critical.
- Design and Security Management: Proven experience with workflow design, creating and managing document templates, and implementing robust security management protocols within CargoWise One.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Logistics, or a closely related field is required.
- Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills essential for effective training and stakeholder collaboration, and a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects.
