Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. This role is crucial for building and maintaining robust data infrastructure, ensuring data governance, and driving development efficiency through platform engineering and automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, data migration, IAM, and cloud technologies. This is an onsite position requiring candidates born before 1990.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Engineering & Automation:
    • Build and maintain generic development frameworks.
    • Develop and manage Python-based migration scripts for data and system transitions.
    • Manage GitLab integration for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Enhance REST APIs to improve development workflows and efficiency.
  • Governance & Security:
    • Oversee Identity & Access Management (IAM) processes and configurations.
    • Manage SAML configurations for secure authentication and single sign-on.
    • Facilitate user onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Conduct regular vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate security risks.
    • Manage security fixes and patches to maintain system integrity.
    • Provide support for internal and external audits related to data security and access.
  • Infrastructure & Operations:
    • Lead the maintenance and support of Secure Agent servers.
    • Manage the provisioning of organizations and sub-organizations within the platform.
    • Coordinate major and minor monthly release cycles, ensuring smooth deployments.
    • Conduct performance testing for new connectors and data integration points.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
    • Manage the Scrum board for daily delivery tracking and team coordination.
    • Coordinate directly with Informatica Product Support for issue resolution.
    • Liaise with DCIO (Data Center Infrastructure Operations) leadership on infrastructure-related matters.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with data migration strategies and tools.
  • Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience with REST API development and integration.
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and SAML.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and security best practices.
  • Understanding of infrastructure maintenance, particularly server management.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
