About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our team in New York City. This is a critical hybrid role requiring a deep understanding of enterprise security, DevSecOps principles, and robust infrastructure protection strategies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience and a proven track record in safeguarding complex IT environments. You will play a key role in implementing and managing security solutions, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level security solutions.
- Oversee and enhance DevSecOps practices to integrate security seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure protection measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management.
- Manage security tools such as WAF, SIEM, DLP, and vulnerability scanners.
- Administer and secure Active Directory, PKI, and certificate management systems.
- Ensure Windows Server security and system hardening best practices are followed.
- Configure and manage networking security components, including VPNs, DMZs, and DNS.
- Utilize DevSecOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes to enhance security posture.
- Implement and manage Sonatype Nexus-IQ and Nexus Firewall for application security.
- Focus on CI/CD pipeline security and software supply chain security.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis when necessary.
- Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Information Security.
- Strong expertise in enterprise security architecture and implementation.
- Extensive experience with DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in infrastructure protection, including WAF, IPS/IDS, SIEM, and DLP.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanners and management.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, PKI, and Certificate Management.
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server Security and System Hardening.
- Strong networking security skills: VPN, DMZ, Firewalls, DNS.
- Experience with DevSecOps tools: Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Specific experience with Sonatype Nexus-IQ and Nexus Firewall is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in securing CI/CD pipelines and addressing software supply chain risks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
