About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager with a strong background in Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for driving the strategy and execution of our AI/ML product initiatives, focusing on data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for defining product roadmaps, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative features that leverage large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and distributed data systems. Your expertise in data engineering principles, ETL design, and data governance will be instrumental in shaping our data platform and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product lifecycle for AI/ML products, from ideation and strategy to launch and iteration.
- Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and roadmaps based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, AI/ML scientists, and software developers to design, build, and deploy robust data solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of data engineering challenges, including ETL/ELT processes, distributed data systems, and data quality management.
- Oversee the design and implementation of ETL pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Drive the adoption and integration of vector databases and other emerging data technologies for AI/ML applications.
- Own and manage large-scale API-focused product portfolios, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Champion the development and shipping of AI-powered or ML-backed features, focusing on measurable customer impact and business value.
- Leverage your strong background in enterprise SaaS, analytics platforms, or developer tooling to enhance our product offerings.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to lead complex products from concept through general availability (GA).
- Communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences, translating complex technical concepts into clear business insights.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI/ML, data engineering, and related fields.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion spent in technical and/or platform roles.
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles, distributed data systems, ETL design, and data governance.
- Proven track record of owning and successfully launching large-scale API-focused product portfolios.
- Experience in shipping AI-powered or ML-backed features with demonstrable customer impact.
- Strong background in enterprise SaaS, analytics platforms, or developer tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex products from concept through general availability (GA).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large language models (LLMs), vector databases, or AI/ML infrastructure.
- Familiarity with data visualization frameworks such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
- Ability to think at the systems level, considering ecosystems, extensibility, and interoperability.
- Strong business acumen, including comfort with financial modeling, pricing strategies, or go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
Domain Experience
- Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) industry is highly desirable.
Special Requirements
Banking/Financial Services/Insurance domain experience preferred. Experience with large language models, vector databases, or Al/ML infra preferred. Familiarity with data visualization frameworks (eg., Tableau, Power B/). Ability to think at the systems level-ecosystems, extensibility, interoperability. Strong business acumen and comfort with financial modelinE, pricing, or GTM strately.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)
