Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Network Data Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This is a 100% onsite position where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines for network telemetry. You will work with various data sources and technologies to build robust data models and ensure data quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest and process network telemetry data, including NetFlow, sFlow, SNMP, logs, and packet data.
  • Integrate data from a variety of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Build and maintain data models optimized for performance analytics, capacity planning, and anomaly detection.
  • Implement and manage both real-time and batch processing frameworks for network data.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence (BI) tools to visualize network performance and trends.
  • Ensure the highest standards of data quality, governance, and reliability across all data pipelines.
  • Automate data workflows and operational tasks using scripting and orchestration tools.
  • Support network troubleshooting efforts through in-depth data analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, with a significant focus on networking concepts and data.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, and common network protocols.
  • Proficiency in data pipeline development and ETL processes.
  • Experience with data modeling techniques and database technologies.
  • Familiarity with BI tools for data visualization and reporting.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $95,000 – $135,000 per year
