Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AEM Developer to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of AEM concepts and best practices, with a focus on developing and maintaining high-quality digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in AEM development, Java, and related web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AEM components, templates, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AEM-related issues.
  • Optimize AEM applications for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AEM features and industry trends.

Technical Skills Required

  • AEM Concepts: Strong understanding of Sling models vs. Sling servlets, key backend annotations, and their usage.
  • AEM Versions: Expertise in AEM 6.4 or above.
  • AEM APIs: Proficient with AEM queries, AEM Workflow launchers, and Assets API.
  • Java: Java 8 or above, Spring Boot.
  • Backend Technologies: Gradle, REST, SOAP, JDBC.
  • Databases: Sybase or SQL Server, PL/SQL.
  • Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular/React, NPM, AJAX.
  • DevOps & Tools: Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code.
  • Methodology: Agile (Scrum).
  • DevOps: Good knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline.

Experience Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience as an AEM developer.
  • Expert-level experience in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), Java (8 or above), and object-oriented design and development.
  • Hands-on experience working with relational databases and development (SQL, Sybase).
  • Working knowledge in web technologies across client/server-side (JS, CSS, HTML5, Angular/React), web infrastructure including web/app server/load balancing etc., caching/compression/security.
  • Working knowledge of Unix bash scripting and/or Python.
  • Financial Services industry experience will be considered an advantage.

Job Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: New York, NY
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days a week in the office.
  • Client Rounds: Candidate must be available to come to the office for F2F client rounds.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
