Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Technical Java Lead with extensive experience in the Telecom domain for an onsite position in Reston, Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, along with a solid understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and CI/CD practices. This role involves leading development efforts, designing robust solutions, and ensuring application security, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of Java-based applications, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Develop and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
- Leverage AWS services for cloud deployment and management.
- Implement and manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Ensure application security, performance, and scalability through rigorous testing and optimization.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
- Engage in production support and complex issue triaging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Java Lead or Senior Java Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot.
- Demonstrated experience working in a microservices architecture.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of application security, performance, and scalability principles.
- Experience in production support and complex issue triaging.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
