Job description
As a Senior Quality Engineer (Automation & Functional) at Frost, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of complex software systems by combining strong test automation expertise with functional testing requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing plans, execute functional testing and build automation scripts using Playwright automation framework, and drive quality improvements across multiple applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Define test strategies, test plans, and risk assessments for complex system or program changes.
- Write and execute functional and automation test cases, including preparation of required test data.
- Design, build, review, and deploy test automation solutions for complex and interrelated systems.
- Perform test execution, validation, and defect analysis to identify issues and work with development teams for resolution.
- Lead troubleshooting and triage of complex system issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with product management, project management, development teams, and business stakeholders to define testing objectives.
- Track and report defect metrics, automation coverage, and testing progress.
- Ensure quality assurance practices align with software development lifecycle and Frost standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Power platform technologies.
- Hands-on experience with functional, API, regression, and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, requirements traceability, and defect management.
- Ability to identify technical issues, misconfigurations, and defects independently.
- Experience collaborating across multiple development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Playwright automation testing.
- Experience in the financial/banking industry.
- Exposure to project coordination or project management.
Special Requirements
100% onsite including day 1.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $55 – $75 per year (Estimated)
