Job Description: UFT Automation Architect
We are looking for a skilled UFT Automation Architect to join our team for a hybrid contract role in New York. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts, integrating with various tools and technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain UFT automation scripts using VBScript and/or C# integrations. Build and enhance hybrid/keyword/data-driven automation frameworks. Develop reusable automation components, libraries, and utilities. Implement object repositories, custom functions, and recovery scenarios.
- C# & Integration: Develop C# utilities, helpers, or services to support automation execution. Integrate UFT with C#-based test harnesses, APIs, or backend validations. Use .NET libraries for data handling, file processing, and service calls. Perform database validation using SQL via C# or UFT.
- Test Execution & Maintenance: Execute automated regression, smoke, and sanity test suites. Analyze failures, debug scripts, and optimize execution stability. Maintain test data, parameterization, and environment configurations. Ensure automation scripts align with application changes.
- CI/CD & Tools: Integrate UFT automation with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Manage source control using Git / Azure Repos. Generate and publish test execution reports and dashboards. Collaborate with DevOps teams for pipeline enablement.
- Collaboration & Quality: Work closely with manual QA, developers, and product owners. Participate in test strategy discussions and automation feasibility analysis. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards. Mentor junior automation engineers as needed.
- Skills: Proficiency in UFT, VBScript, C#, .NET, SQL, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git. Strong understanding of automation frameworks and CI/CD principles.
