Job Title: HP NonStop Tandem Developer
We are looking for an experienced HP NonStop Tandem Developer for a long-term contract role of 12+ months in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications using TAL, TACL scripting, and programming languages such as C, C++, and COBOL on the NonStop platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming Development: Write and maintain applications using TAL (Transaction Application Language).
- Scripting: Develop TACL scripts for system automation and management.
- Modern Languages: Ability to code in modern programming languages including C, C++, and COBOL.
- Fault Tolerant Systems: Experience in designing and troubleshooting software for fault-tolerant systems.
- Database & File System Skills: Proficiency with NonStop SQL (SQLMP or SQLMX) and file systems like Enscribe.
- Database Administration: Experience in database administration and performance tuning on NonStop platforms.
- Tools & Utilities: Utilize platform-specific tools such as Pathway, FUP, BATCHCOM, ENFORM, and SQLCI.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop TACL automation scripts, Perl scripting, and Shell scripting (for OSS or Unix-like layers). Automate deployments, monitoring, and batch processes.
