Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong AWS experience to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Python development along with deep knowledge of AWS services, including serverless and containerized architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Python.
  • Build and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda and ECS Fargate.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using API Gateway.
  • Implement data storage, retrieval, and migration solutions using RDS and S3.
  • Design and manage event-driven and batch processing systems using AWS Lambda and ECS.
  • Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch.
  • Manage secure configurations and secrets using AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager.
  • Design and implement networking solutions within AWS VPC (subnets, routing, security groups).
  • Configure DNS and traffic routing using Route 53.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, architects, and product stakeholders.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production support activities.
  • Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative development and delivery.

Required Technical Skills

Programming & Frameworks

  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Solid understanding of OOP concepts, data structures, and design patterns

AWS Cloud Services (Mandatory)

  • AWS Lambda
  • ECS Fargate
  • API Gateway
  • S3
  • RDS
  • CloudWatch
  • AWS Secrets Manager
  • AWS Systems Manager
  • VPC (networking, routing, security groups)
  • Route 53

Databases & Integration

  • Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Ownership mindset and proactive attitude

Nice to Have

  • Experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks
  • Exposure to high-scale distributed systems

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)

Location: Atlanta, GA
