Job Title: Mainframe Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with over 12 years of experience for a long-term, onsite position in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will be proficient in mainframe technologies and possess a strong understanding of software development lifecycles within a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM.
  • Proficiency in mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
  • Experience with batch processing and online transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with mainframe testing tools and methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $50 – $53 per year
