Job Opportunity: Business Analyst with P&C Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to join one of our direct client’s dynamic teams. This is a hybrid role based in Iselin, NJ, offering a great opportunity to work on critical transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for P&C insurance systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and project managers, to define project scope and objectives.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit detailed business needs.
  • Document business processes, workflows, and system functionalities using standard methodologies.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Support the implementation and deployment of new features and enhancements.
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support to end-users.
  • Ensure a good understanding of policy lifecycle, claims processing, and billing workflows within US insurance carriers.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter/BillingCenter) or Duck Creek is highly desirable.
  • Develop a basic understanding of integrations, APIs, and data flows within the insurance ecosystem.
  • Utilize working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis to support business insights.
  • Leverage experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps for project management and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, with a significant focus on the P&C insurance domain for US insurance carriers.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale P&C transformation or enhancement programs.
  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance business processes, including policy administration, claims management, and billing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire or Duck Creek platforms is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

The hybrid nature of the role allows for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.


Special Requirements

Hybrid work model. Requires strong understanding of P&C insurance. Experience with Guidewire or Duck Creek is a plus. Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps) experience required. SQL knowledge needed.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year

Location: Iselin, NJ
